We’re thrilled to have here today Alyssa McCarthy from Sunayna Prasad’s new fantasy, From Frights to Flaws. Alyssa is a 12-year-old girl living in Bursnell, New Jersey.
It is a pleasure to have her with us today at Beyond the Books!
The things I like to do are dancing and hanging out with my friends. Sadly, my uncle doesn’t let me do those things anymore.
What do you believe is your strongest trait?
People say that I’m very determined.
I feel really weird about letting people know about things to weird to be true, like magic existing in my world.
Do you have a love interest in the book?
No. I’m only 12.
At what point of the book did you start getting nervous about the way it was going to turn out?
At the very beginning, when I saw the rain turn into black ink on my kitchen window.
If you could trade places with one of the other characters in the book, which character would you really not want to be and why?
The villain going after me. He couldn’t manage his stress that well, which was probably the reason he’d gone evil.
How do you feel about the ending of the book without giving too much away?
